Insight Workshops

In the organizer's words:

Workshops with D'haus artists - Ronsdorfer Straße 74Stadt:Kollektiv

The Stadt:Kollektiv invites you to workshops throughout the season. Learn the best tricks for voice and presence from ensemble actors, find out from directors how to present a scene in the best light and dramatize texts with dramaturges! Our workshops give everyone in Düsseldorf the opportunity to try out theater for one or two days.

Insight - Performing gender, performing queerness - with the theater maker and travesty artist Lasse Scheiba

on March 1 from 11 am to 3 pm - Ronsdorfer Straße 74

"You are born naked and the rest is drag!": We all often spend a lot of energy trying to conform to a heteronormative world - in other words, to be recognized as male or female. But what happens when we free ourselves from these barriers? Join Lasse Scheiba, also known as Effi Biest, on a playful search for different gender expressions. Using strategies from biographical theater and experiences from the art of travesty, we will work with our inner stereotypes and transform them. In the end, all participants create their own drag character, in which their own weaknesses, strengths and role models find a fabulous expression - because drag is the opportunity to celebrate ourselves and the diversity of gender expressions.
