Inspiration & Talk: Arbeitswelt im Wandel

In the organizer's words:

Four-day week, home office and purpose or more work to maintain prosperity?

Our working world is changing rapidly - and with it the understanding and meaning of work and expectations of the professional environment. Work-life balance, the four-day week, working from home and purpose are important demands for the younger generations. Digitalization and artificial intelligence in particular are fundamentally changing the way we work. At the same time, the German economy is weakening and there are calls for more working hours and productivity. How do we reconcile these sometimes very different demands?

We are very much looking forward to welcoming bestselling author Sara Weber to the next Inspiration & Talk event. In her book Die Welt geht unter, und ich muß trotzdem arbeiten? she deals with the challenges of the modern working world, especially in the context of global crises such as the pandemic, climate change and economic uncertainty. She describes how working conditions have changed as a result of working from home and digitalization and how many people are suffering from increasing stress and overwork.

Sara Weber will give a keynote speech on the current challenges in the world of work and possible solutions.

We will then discuss with Sara Weber and Dr. Ulrich Walwei, Honorary Professor of Labour Market Research at the Institute of Economics and Econometrics at the University of Regensburg, what framework conditions are needed and what companies and employees can do to improve job satisfaction.
