INTERFILM 40: Craving for Narratives

In the organizer's words:

We're craving for narratives. Narratives that tell us of reality. Whether artificial or documentary in nature - in these essay films, the filmmakers undertake an attempt to rob objectivity of its authority and to discover a thoroughly subjective approach to reality. Rather than adhering to the tradition of supposedly objective documentary filmmaking, these works create a space for experiments that challenge the interpretative authority of the real over our reality and finally treat fiction as an equal. For the latter explores reality in an entirely new way - one that is surreal, emotional and radically intimate.
