INTERFILM 40 | Lecture + Panel: How to Tame a DCP with easyDCP – A Journey through the Digital World of Movies

Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) can be intimidating. Filmmakers often struggle with the technical requirements of the format. To help create a better understanding of DCPs, a round of experts and filmmakers with DCP experience will come together to share their knowledge on the topic in an accessible and straightforward way. We want to abandon the technical jargon often used in relation to the format and prove to you that DCPs are not rocket science. The event will begin with a presentation of easyDCP, the leading software for creating, playing and encrypting DCPs. This will be followed by a panel discussion featuring a diverse group of guests sharing their experiences on key topics like accessibility, color spaces, spontaneous alterations and optimal collaboration with festivals and cinemas. Afterward, the panel will open the floor to questions from the audience.
