Michael Sagmeister meets the young generation

Michael Sagmeister is one of the most renowned jazz and fusion guitarists in the world and is regarded as one of the leading contemporary musicians in his genre. He has worked with jazz greats such as Pat Martino, Larry Coryell and many others. Since 1999, he has also been Professor of Jazz Guitar at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts and was the first German to teach at the legendary Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has since taught at many other renowned music institutes. He is also a successful book author and has created a standard work for jazz guitarists with his "Sagmeisters Jazzgitarre".

With Elias Bollinger (drums) and Jakob Krupp (bass), the jazz guitar legend meets two promising musicians of the younger generation. Elias Bollinger has recently performed with the HR Symphony Orchestra and the Christoph Spendel Group. Bassist Jakob Krupp has toured internationally with the Frank Dupree Trio and worked with the SWR Big Band and the Klaus Graf Quartet. Whether traditional jazz standards or compositions by Michael Sagmeister himself - the focus is always on unleashed virtuosity, perfect interplay and the boundless creativity of improvisation.
