On May 18, 2025, museums throughout Germany will celebrate the annual International Museum Day and invite visitors to special events, guided tours and exclusive insights. In 2025, International Museum Day will take place for the 48th time. Under the motto "Discover museums with joy", the German Museums Association would like to draw attention to the diversity of the museum landscape and the vitality of intangible cultural heritage. Of course, our Lüneburg museums will once again be taking part this year, offering free admission, special guided tours and exciting lectures.
