International Museum Day
On the day of action of all museums worldwide, we organize "A celebration for the Hasten". For the first time, Haus Cleff will also be open to visitors on this special Sunday in May.
It starts at 11 a.m. with a concert by the brass players of the Bergische Symphoniker on the stage in the museum park. Over the course of the afternoon, initiatives from the Hasten district, the guitarist duo "Proyecto Guitarra" and the museum's education department will present themselves here. In addition, the Johanniter will be on site with their drone squadron and will be demonstrating their latest technology. Children can explore the technical Unimog for themselves, which is mainly used in extreme situations when other vehicles reach their limits. Many Remscheid craftsmen and metalworking companies also offer hands-on stations for children and demonstrate their knowledge. For example, our visitors can engrave their names in wood at the Möller joinery stand and visit stands from Stahlwille, Fachverband Werkzeugindustrie e.V. and other suppliers.
With guided tours on the history of Haus Cleff, through the current special exhibition and the Hasten district, there is a colorful, varied and family-oriented program on offer. Stalls with drinks, barbecued food and giant Bergisch waffles will cater for the physical well-being of our guests.
