Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS), May 6-11, 2025

The ITFS promises an animated week: strong films in competition, free open-air cinema, experimental GameZone, colorful program for kids and families as well as inspiring talks and panels. Intensive animation, people up close.

Every spring, animation enthusiasts, the industry and artists come together in an inspiring festival atmosphere to celebrate artistic animated film. The competitions are high-end, the open air offers animation art for everyone. Audiences and filmmakers come together in the cinema hall to watch short and feature-length animated films.

Did you know? The ITFS is an Oscar-qualifying animated film festival. Whoever wins the Grand Prix in Stuttgart automatically ends up on the longlist for the Academy Awards in L.A.!
