IS IT YOUR CHOICE?

In the organizer's words:

An interactive dance performance by Im Orbit Kollektiv that transforms the stage space into a playing field in which decisions, chance and participation determine the choreography.

Is it your choice? transforms the stage space into a playing field in which decisions, chance and participation determine the choreography. Inspired by John Cage's Song Books, the performance invites the audience to actively shape the course of the performance: By rolling the dice, the audience influence the sound, movement and space and thus become co-authors of the action themselves. The piece grows from a reduced set-up to a complex, multi-sensory landscape that enables synaesthetic experiences and dissolves the boundaries between actor and audience. Is it your choice? can be flexibly adapted to different locations and creates spaces for encounters, interaction and shared experiences.

NIMM PLATZ am Neumarkt is a joint project of Cologne's cultural administration and the independent cultural scene, with contributions from the University of Music and Dance (HfMT) and the Academy of Media Arts (KHM).
