Isenburg Quartet plays string quartets in the Theateratelier

The Isenburg Quartet, which consists of the outstanding string players Jagdish Mistry, Diego Ramos Rodríguez, Laura Hovestadt and Sophie-Justine Herr, is always on the lookout for unusual concert venues in Offenbach. For its concert on Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m., the quartet has found what it is looking for in one of Offenbach's hidden backyards, namely at Bleichstraße 14 H. This is where the theater studio of the same name is located, which has been offering children's theater and evening programs since 1999. The Isenburg Quartet takes up the theatrical aspect with the composition "Light of Third..." by Austrian composer Flora Geißelbrecht, which works with shadow plays using flashlights attached to the instruments. The program also includes Anton Webern's "Langsame Satz", Franz Schubert's String Quartet No. 4 in C major and Franz Joseph Haydn's String Quartet Op. 77 No. 2 in F major. The concert thus includes compositions from four centuries of work by Austrian composers. As always, the quartet will present the concert itself in a knowledgeable and charming manner.
