Formed in late 2014, IST IST have built an excellent reputation with uncompromisingly intense live shows and a distinct DIY work ethic. Their debut album 'Architecture', released in the midst of the pandemic on their own label Kind Violence Records, was a huge success in the indie, physical and vinyl charts.

Second album 'The Art of Lying' was released in November 2021, reaching number 87 in the UK Top 100 and establishing the band as one of the leading lights of a new era of music emerging in Manchester. The release was followed by a ten-date UK tour with sold-out shows in Manchester, London and Bristol, as well as a string of sold-out European dates.

The band released their highly anticipated third album 'Protagonists' in 2023 to great acclaim, playing to a sold-out O2 Ritz in their hometown of Manchester on the same night. The album entered the UK album charts at number 41 before the group embarked on a major UK and European tour, selling out shows across the board, including 700 Cap Melkweg in Amsterdam.

IST IST return in 2024 with a live album recorded at the landmark Amsterdam show, and there's plenty more to come in their tenth year...
