IS MY MICRO ON?

Age recommendation: from 13 years
With her silent protest in front of the Swedish parliament building in 2018, 15-year-old Greta Thunberg initiated a global movement. Fridays for Future strikes have been taking place around the world for three years now. Students and young adults demonstrate for a future worth living and against inaction in the face of a climate catastrophe that is already happening. Playwright Jordan Tannahill was inspired by Greta Thunberg's speeches for the play "Is my mic on?" and has written a declaration of war and a declaration of love at the same time. 17 young women make their voices heard, address humanity's most pressing problem and ask: At what age does political action actually begin? Can there be justice between the generations? How can each individual be convinced to stand up for the future of this world?
