Jack Pott - this is not the name of a shady online casino or a sleazy Top 40 cover band for grandma's seventieth birthday party, no, these are four party grenades from the tranquil spa town of Bad Schwartau, who have been up to mischief in the punk rock scene as a punk band for more than three years now. With drums, guitar, bass, synthesizers and German lyrics, Alex, Leo, Jakob and Justin regularly serve their audience danceable punk rock with influences from the New German Wave. Lyrically, they cover everything from nonsense to more serious topics, without missing out on a few side blows. Clearly against racism and exclusion and for solidarity and tolerance. The joke is the top priority.

Although the group has been making music together for an eternity, the actual birth of Jack Pott was the discovery of the synthesizer, which makes the band's sound so unmistakable to this day. A first taste of this sound metamorphosis can be heard directly on the first EP "Adoleszenzgeschichten", from which songs such as "Allemeine Freunde" or "Traurig Nr. 3" have already achieved great regional fame. In summer 2020, they landed a viral hit on social media with "Antischwurbler", a musical response to the everyday "MiMiMi" of all lateral thinkers. Due to the outstanding response, the band released their very first vinyl "Antischwurbler" just a short time later, which also features a joint cover version of the NDW chart-topper "Besuchen Sie Europa" with Geier Sturzflug singer Friedel Geratsch. At the same time, the production of their debut album "Bomben über Disneyland" began, which will be released on March 18, 2022 on the label "Dackelton Records".

It promises 14 snappy hits to sing, dance, joke and ponder along to. Musically and thematically, it is a real surprise package. The common thread runs through punky social criticism, summery ska-punk with trumpets, electronic party hits and catchy pop-punk anthems. Thematically somewhere between heartache, everyday madness and ecstasy. Sometimes to make you laugh, sometimes to make you think.

As they have almost been banned from playing in their home town, the four rock rascals now want to go out into the wide world. Well, Germany will do. So keep your eyes and ears open: The Pott is coming to your city in 2022!
