Art - Kunsttreff - Kunstrefugium!

From September 5 to September 15, the Kunstrefugium is once again hosting its annual exhibition at the Kunsttreff in Donauwörther Straße 51. In addition to the diverse exhibition of works - from paintings to photography to sculpture - there will be a top-class violin concert on Saturday, September 14 at 8 and 9 p.m., integrated into the Moosach Music Night, against an artistic backdrop.

It is an important date for an art association every year: the annual exhibition, where the artists can show what they have created or what is particularly close to their hearts. This time, 23 Kunstrefugians will be present with their works and many of them will be present in person at the vernissage on Thursday, September 5 from 7 pm. A good opportunity to talk about art and being an artist in a relaxed atmosphere.

The exhibition at the Kunsttreff in Moosach is organized on a voluntary basis by the Kunstrefugium e.V. artists' association. When the Kunstverein itself is not exhibiting in the light-flooded presentation rooms, which are made available rent-free for this artistic use by Wohnungs- und Siedlungsbau Bayern, other artists are also given a chance to exhibit. This means that the Kunsttreff hosts exciting exhibitions throughout the year, as well as readings, small concerts, performances and the like.

The now well-established Kunsttreff in Moosach is also involved every time several institutions in the district join forces to implement joint cultural projects. So of course there will also be a corresponding program for this year's Moosach Music Night at the Kunsttreff: on Saturday, 14 September, there will be a top-class concert with concertmaster Joanna Kamenarska at 8pm and 9pm. Under the title "Stories from violin country", she will show what an all-rounder the violin is: she will present highly virtuoso pieces, interspersed with amusing stories and musical gems from her native Bulgaria.

Joanna Kamenarska was born in Sofia and discovered the violin at the age of 4. She studied at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with the legendary Prof. Ruggiero Ricci. There she won 3rd prize at the International Mozart Competition 2002.

She has been concertmaster of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra since 2008 and artistic director of the Hamburg Camerata since 2021. Joanna has been giving concerts worldwide since her earliest childhood. She is an acclaimed soloist and chamber musician who has performed in halls such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall, New York. Among the conductors she has worked with are Simone Young, Delyana Lazarova, Dennis Russel-Davies and Kent Nagano.

The Moosach Music Night is also a good opportunity to view the works on display at the Kunsttreff in Donauwörther Straße 51. If you prefer to do this in peace and quiet, you can do so during the day from Thursday to Sunday from 3 to 7 pm from September 6 to 15.
