Review of the year 2024

- A review of the printmaking year, an artistic summary and the presentation of the annual edition 2024

The annual review is an exhibition of the works that have kept the printmaking workshop busy this year.
Exhibits from exhibitions, projects, newly discovered techniques and cherished prints - they define the current position of the Kunstverein and its print workshop.
The magic of embossing, the softness of an even application of color, the clear line and the delicate veil fascinate us in the sheets created here. The roughness of the paper, the special feeling when the knife cuts through the wood, the right color ratio are the creative path to the finished sheet.

A place of creativity, the development and realization of pictorial ideas in an expert exchange with one another, needs a very special atmosphere.
And such a place is more valuable than ever in times of upheaval, unrest and change.

In the rooms of the Druckwerkstatt in Cologne's Südstadt district, the Kunstverein für Druckgraphik, which has existed there since 1995, shows etchings, woodcuts, aquatints and much more.
Karin Flau presents the annual edition for 2024 with the title "Immortelle" - a three-color woodcut.
