It's all set: We are really looking forward to you and a great, varied Wednesday series 2025 - a multi-faceted program with great bands on 22 dates every Wednesday from 30 April to 24 September 2025.

This time with us: Jamila & The Other Heroes.

JAMILA & THE OTHER HEROES is a Berlin-based band from many countries that combines psychedelic desert rock with activist content.

Jamila Al-Yousef, who named the band after her Palestinian grandmother, was born in Berlin on the day the Berlin Wall came down.

She absorbed the revolutionary energy of that time with her mother's milk and is strongly influenced by the life story of her Palestinian father. With her musical heroes from the Palestinian diaspora, she composes songs about liberation, empowerment and healing.

Jamila's emancipatory message in Arabic and English is supported by powerful live musicians.

Let yourself be carried away by an incomparable sound of psychedelic desert guitar riffs (Leon Sanchez) vibrating on a warm and earthy foundation of surging bass lines (Felix 'Fema' Barth), Arabic percussion rhythms (Salam Alhassan) and powerful drum beats (Pier Ciaccio).

Free admission to all events in the Wednesday series. The hat goes around for the artists and everyone gives what he or she wants.
