A sound world of rhythm and melody - In his solo projects PHILSONIC and TALKIN'MUSIC, multi-instrumentalist Jan-Philipp Tödte creates unique sound worlds between synthesizer electronics and multi-instrumental ethno-acoustics. Influenced by numerous sessions and international concerts with EMBRYO, Nippy Noya and Thomas Kagermann, among others, he has been developing his unmistakable style of live simultaneous multi-instrumentality since 1996.

With handpan, guitar, kalimba and percussion, which he plays simultaneously and brings into dialog, he creates an exotic, spherical sound world of invigorating rhythms, melodies and fine sound magic. He deliberately dispenses with amplification and microphones for unadulterated sound quality.

An experience that the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger describes as "a soothing treat for the senses and the mind". The Rhein-Sieg-Rundschau judges: "Sounds like several musicians at the same time."
