Twelve years after their (love) story began with wild snogging at the prom, Jana and Janis literally run into each other again in their early 30s. She, an ambitious daughter from a good family, has failed miserably as an actress in Hollywood, but is now trying her hand as a pseudo-gentle influencer - and has just returned to Germany. He, a young man from Hamburg with Greek roots, continues to run the family restaurant after the death of his father and has given up his own musical ambitions.

Behind Jana and Janis lies a chaotic on-off relationship - until their last separation five years ago. They have fallen in and out of love, found each other again and despaired of each other. And despite new relationships, they never lost sight of each other (or stalked each other on Facebook, Instagram and the like). Then they stand in front of each other and there is still that familiar tingling sensation ... and the big question of why it didn't work out with them.
