Jared Hart: Past Lives & Pass Lines 10th Anniversary Shows

In the organizer's words:

A decade ago, I worked as hard as I could to figure out how to write, sing and record. How to tour long term, where to find the right friends, how to make a life as a musician, what the point of it all is and where this journey will take me in the future. Ten years have flown by and I'm comforted by the fact that I still can't answer any of these questions.

"Past Lives..." started out as a selfish record in a way. The songs came about because I had nowhere else to put my thoughts and feelings. The usual long-term lockers were either lost or overflowing, so I decided to leave some of the weight in the "musical here". A while later, I noticed that the box had filled up and its contents were coherent. A collection of events and moments that revolved around a central theme: Loss and how to deal with it. I was offered to go on tour with just my acoustic guitar for a month and suggested I write a few songs to go with it. I could never have imagined back then where these thoughts, lyrics and musical fragments would lead. I can't put into words how much I appreciate the connections I've been able to make as a result. Past Lives...' started as something that was mine, but it very quickly became something that was for everyone. The songs were the catalyst to talk about difficult topics and moments as we bonded over our shared experiences.

To celebrate all of these songs, I'll be playing a handful of shows in New Jersey, England and Germany this November. At each date, friends will join me as we look back on 'Past Lives...' in its entirety. Thank you for the years of friendship and support. I can't wait to see you there."
