Jazz City Bilk 2025 - LEX EAZY & THE MAMBO CLUB

In the organizer's words:

The MAMBO CLUB and vibraphonist and bandleader LEX EAZY, aka Alexander Maczewski, perform. The ensemble takes its audience on a musical road trip through unforgettable movie and TV tunes from the 70s and 80s and transforms them into true Latin jazz treasures. "Winnetou-Melodie", "Die Straßen von San Francisco", "Dalli Dalli" and "Fliewatüüt" goes Latin.

The musicians of Lex Eazy & The Mambo Club came together in Düsseldorf in 2002 to revive the great music of the Swedish-American vibraphonist Cal Tjader (1925-1982).

Since then, the sextet has been conjuring up the flair of the New York jazz clubs of the 50s and 60s on stage with relaxed cha cha chas, bossas, mambos and timeless sambas. After the worldwide success of their dance hit

BREAKAWAY from the last record, the ensemble is currently devoting itself to the television music of the 70s & 80s with a lot of verve and humor. As a harmonious extension of the unique sound spectrum of Lex Eazy & The Mambo Club, the masterful clarinettist Holger Werner from Cologne has also been recruited!
