Jazz-Kultursommer mit dem Christian Bekmulin-Trio

In the organizer's words:

The trio around guitarist Christian Bekmulin, bassist Rudi Engel and drummer Konrad Patzig unites two generations of the Würzburg jazz scene. Through their shared love of the jazz tradition of the 50s and 60s, the three musicians create an interactive symbiosis in their interplay. A unique communication takes place at a high level, which leaves room for creativity, fresh ideas and a lot of joy in playing. Through numerous concerts, the trio has developed a repertoire of original compositions and exquisite jazz standards, and through influences from Pat Metheny, Wes Montgomery, Paul Chambers, Charlie Haden and many more, the two jazz musicians create a very individual sound. The Jazz-Kultursommer is a joint event by mainJAZZ, Keller Z87 and de Dornheims, supported with funds from the Initiative für Musik.
