Jazz-Night im Kultur Palast Billstedt

In the organizer's words:

Jazz night at Kultur Palast Billstedt
Jazz concert followed by an improv session

An evening of jazz at its finest: the Susanne Wegener Jazz Quartet mixes modern jazz, free improvisation and chamber music. The musicians come from Berlin, Lübeck and the international jazz scene.

To mark the 45th anniversary of the Kultur Palast Foundation, a new concert series is being launched - and it starts with a special musical event: the Susanne Wegener Jazz Quartet will open the evening with a carefully composed 45-minute set.

The musicians - with roots in Berlin, Lübeck and the international jazz scene - bring a rich mixture of modern jazz, free improvisation and chamber music influences to the stage.

After the last note, the room opens up - for encounters, improvisation and surprising moments of sound:

The room transforms into an open playing field - during a 45-minute improv session, musicians and singers are invited to meet spontaneously, try out new constellations and carry on the spirit of jazz together. It doesn't matter what genre you come from.

This new series stands for exchange, openness and musical curiosity - and invites you to listen, participate and celebrate.

Musicians and singers who would like to take part in the improv session are cordially invited to register by email to: j.hintz@kph-hamburg.de
