Jazzgesang: Karoline Weidt

The music of the young German singer and composer Karoline Weidt is characterized by catchy melodies in original compositions with attention to detail. While her spherical vocals float with lightness, she is at the center of the sound with her natural presence. The versatile Russian pianist Sammy Lukas will accompany her on the piano. They will play original compositions influenced by jazz and pop.

At the age of 29,Karoline Weidt - vocals has already won numerous jazz awards such as the Young Munich Jazz Award 2021, Blue Note Poznań Jazz Competition 2022 and the BMW Young Jazz Artist Award. "Karoline Weidt's singing has truly magical qualities and finds its way into the soul" wrote Wolfgang Fricke in Jazzreportagen.com. Sammy Lukas - piano, Leipzig resident by choice, winner of both the prestigious Yamaha Jazz Piano Competition 2017 and the Young Munich Jazz Award 2017.
