Young talents make the Schlossplatz swing

The Jazzlabor is the youth jazz project of the City of Oldenburg's music school - the only one of its kind in Lower Saxony. Young musicians from Oldenburg meet here every week to learn jazz improvisation and repertoire in joint jam sessions. With remarkable dynamism and great enthusiasm, they show how lively and powerful jazz is among the younger generation.

The Jazzlabor is led by the experienced Oldenburg jazz musicians Sebastian Hinrichs and Philipp Pumplün (Nordwest-Bigband). For the Kultursommer, a selection of the ensemble brings fresh swing to the Schlossplatz - and provides a lively start to the evening program.
