Jazzorama! JUMP! + Jamsession

To kick off the new Elektrorama sub-series, we have a very special act for you:

The trio JUMP! operates at the interface of experimental electronics, industrial club, glitch-heavy improvisation and danceable beats. Consisting of experimental vocalist Thea Soti (Berlin/Paris), producer and drummer Anthony Greminger (Cologne) and pianist/synth player Darius Heid aka Dr Hyde (Cologne/Copenhagen), the band creates a highly energetic synergy that thrives on unpredictability and sonic intensity.

With their debut EP "Jump Out of Burning Cars" (2024), they deliver a multi-layered response to our digitally colonized minds and toxic transformation processes that are hitting us with full force. In dark, pulsating atmospheres, apocalyptic synth pads collide with dense industrial rhythms, while Soti's manipulated vocals oscillate between intimacy and technological vacuum. Their live performances are not concerts in the classical sense, but immersive experiences - physical, disturbing, euphoric.

After an acclaimed tour through Indonesia (including the Jogja Noise Bombing Festival), they are now presenting their modular live show for the first time in Cologne - opening the new electronic sub-series Elektrorama, which is dedicated to the experimental and electronic underground within the Jazzorama series at the artheater.

Following the concert, the stage will become an open electronic jam session: everyone is invited to bring their own modular synths, effects devices or DIY instruments and take part in a collective improvisation. DJ decks will also be available - bring your noise and plug in.
