The New York pianist and composer Phillip Golub has been nominated for the German Jazz Award and is coming to Cologne to meet musicians from the local scene. His music combines elements of jazz, contemporary composition and free improvisation. He is less interested in committing to one genre than in exploring the spaces in between - structured, open and always in the moment. An exciting exchange between different musical languages and backgrounds.
