JAZZWERK BIG BAND

The "JazzWerk Big Band" is the largest line-up of the JazzWerk Hamburg. It consists of musicians from Hamburg's independent jazz scene. It presents the third program that bandleader Dirk Bleese has composed and arranged for JazzWerk, a cross-section of modern mainstream and contemporary jazz. JazzWerk is a collective of Hamburg jazz musicians and regularly presents orchestral jazz in various formations and different programs at BIRDLAND: In October as an octet, in December as a nonet and in February 2025 in a classic big band format, every other month on the 2nd Wednesday! The members of JazzWerk are all renowned soloists and band leaders from the Hamburg and German jazz scene.
