Jefta van Dinther: Ausland

Our present consists of a multitude of realities. The field that we once called reality is constantly expanding. In the process, new spaces and states of consciousness, perspectives and potentials are emerging. At the same time, the temptationto escape the world has never been greater. Jefta van Dinther's AUSLAND explores the human desireto immerse oneself in alternative realities and lose oneself in them.

The audience moves freely through an immersive setting that transforms the West Gallery of Haus der Kunst into a dreamlike labyrinth. Each spectator embarks on an individual journey full of human and inhuman encounters. Between dance and song, ritual and gaming , the performers ' bodies move through cinematic visual worlds , repeatedly creating touching moments of tenderness and vulnerability.

TheSwedish-Dutch choreographer Jefta van Dinther lives and works in Berlin. His works tour worldwide and have already been shown several times in Munich as part of Tanzwerkstatt Europa. AUSLAND marks his largest interdisciplinary project to date and is presented as a collaboration between the International DANCE Festival Munich and Tanzwerkstatt Europa. The musical composition of the performance is by Billy Bultheel , who has written the music for numerous works by the artist Anne Imhof. His compositions are released on the Berlin labelPAN-Records.
