"Jen Rosenblit takes the audience on an eclectic exploration of queer desire. Through poetry, song, eroticism, line dancing and utopia, a collage is created, somewhere between tender intimacy and sensory overload spectacle." Maria Ladopoulos, tanzschreiber.de, 02.03.2024
"Jen Rosenblit takes the audience along on an eclectic voyage investigating queer desire. Poetry, song, eroticism, line dancing and utopia combine to produce a collage located somewhere in between tender intimacy and spectacular sensory overload." Maria Ladopoulos, tanzschreiber.de, 02.03.2024
Along a poetic text, Jen Rosenblit and four congenial collaborators lead us in loose chapters through imperfect (experimental) arrangements and trace the breaking points in the experience of desire and unavailability. Between polyphonic ballads by a live band and line dance interventions by the performers in a vaguely Western set-up, Rosenblit's "ElseWhere Rhapsody" raises virulent questions about consent and boundaries in text and exchange, movement and changing actions.
