Jenseits von Schuld

"Beyond Guilt" tells the story of Ulla and Didi Högel, whose son Niels presumably killed hundreds of people as a nurse and was convicted of 87 murders. Their son's guilt has irrevocably changed their lives. Despite all the questions that torment them, they have to learn to deal with the constant public attention: Trials, TV series, articles - their family life is constantly being discussed. They stand by their son, but doubts remain: Can they trust him? All the media report that he is manipulative. In this extreme field of tension, the Högels struggle daily with this burden and reach the limits of their resilience as parents, as a couple and as people.
