JESSE MATTERN ORCHESTRA

The "Jesse Mattern Orchestra" is an ensemble led by saxophonist, composer and arranger Jesse Mattern. The orchestra consists of 8 wind instruments, 4 strings and a rhythm section. The repertoire includes original compositions and arrangements by Jesse Mattern, who also performs as a soloist on soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone. Through the skillful use of effect pedals, he creates innovative saxophone sounds that fuse modern jazz with classical and electronic influences. Inspired by greats such as Snarky Puppy, Guillaume Perret or Peter Herbolzheimer, the ensemble presents compositions full of "soul" in a special guise.
