He touches millions of people worldwide with his music - without singing a single word: Joel Sunny's violin alone is enough for him to open up emotional worlds and create grandiose instrumental pop.
The 23-year-old, who now lives in Sydney, grew up in Manchester in the UK - without the classical violin training that many of his peers have enjoyed since childhood. Instead, he was given an iPod at an early age, through which he discovered the pop hits of the 2010s. Fascinated by what made these songs so special, he began to listen closely - and to analyze his favorite songs in order to better understand them.

During the lockdown in the Covid-19 pandemic, he remembered his old violin and his love of pop music - and combined the two: he shared covers of well-known songs played on his violin on YouTube. His fan base soon grew rapidly and he began to release his own music.
His debut single "Middle Of The Night" was released in February 2022 - a first taste of his unmistakable style. Joel Sunny uses the violin almost like a voice and creates pop melodies full of decadent drama, somewhere between Lana Del Rey and the movie soundtracks of the 60s.
Soundtracks for films are his big goal, but until then he gives us his own compositions that immediately conjure up whole worlds of images in our heads. His final breakthrough came at the end of 2023 with "Luminary", when millions of enthusiastic users on TikTok declared his music to be the perfect soundtrack to their favorite books.

After the release of his EP "Star-Bound Lovers", he toured the world for the first time and played in 14 sold-out cities - live, his music unfolds an even deeper and more emotional dimension.
