Joep Beving is one of the most frequently heard living pianists in the world. After two sold-out concerts in the Elbphilharmonie's Great Hall, Joep returns to the Elbphilharmonie in November for a particularly intimate concert to mark the 10th anniversary of his debut album Solipsism - in the Small Hall.

In an amazingly short time, Joep Beving has made it to the top of the Spotify charts, with over 300 million streams and more than 2 million monthly listeners.

With his previous albums Solipsism, Prehension and Henosis, Beving searched for answers to complex philosophical questions in his music.

What next, he asked himself after the trilogy and initially devoted himself to composing for a Dutch film and a play. Only gradually did the idea for his latest project take shape. "I sat down alone at my piano to feel at home and in harmony with myself and my surroundings," he says. "I wanted to do what felt right, look back to the beginnings, play solo piano, but at the same time base the pieces on what I had learned during the making of the trilogy."

Joep describes his minimalist and contemplative style as "accessible music for complex feelings". In a crowded musical field, he has created a unique and recognizable voice that swims between classical, pop and avant-garde - with great appeal.

On November 5, Joep Beving will come to Hamburg to return to his beginnings in the Small Hall of the Elbphilharmonie and play a very special concert in a small circle.
