Johann von Bülow liest Loriot

From 1957 to 1961, the column "Der ganz offene Brief" (The very frank letter) appeared in the magazine QUICK. In his letters, the author, a certain Loriot, paints a portrait of the young Federal Republic of Germany and takes the first step from illustrator to author. Loriot's terse, always trenchant announcements as a television presenter are already laid out here. As are the sketches with which he would fascinate a mass audience a decade later. Of course, there are also plenty of drawings to round things off.
Johann von Bülow, known from films such as The Adlon, The Minister and The Mirror Affair, will read Loriot's recently rediscovered letters, published as a book, for the first time on stage.

Johann von Bülow, born in Munich in 1972, is one of the best-known German actors of his generation. After studying at the Otto Falckenberg School, he played at major theaters such as the Schauspielhaus Bochum; he has also appeared in numerous German and international cinema and television films and worked with directors such as Oliver Hirschbiegel and François Ozon.
