John Malkovich und Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė in Bernard-Marie Koltès’ „In der Einsamkeit der Baumwollfelder“ – Düsseldorf-Premiere im Capitol Theater

An outstanding theatrical event is coming to Berlin in June 2025: John Malkovich and Ingeborga Dapkūnaitėwill appear together on the stage of the Capitol Theater when Bernard-Marie Koltès' haunting chamber play "In the Loneliness of the Cotton Fields" is staged under the direction of Timofey Kulyabin.
Over two evenings - on 17 and 18 June 2025 - the Capitol Theater will be transformed into a space of intense, poetic encounters between two strangers whose dialogue about power, desire and loneliness develops into a captivating duel.
With his atmospherically dense directorial style, Kulyabin impressively brings out the linguistic depth and emotional impact of the play. In the confrontation between the dealer (Malkovich) and the customer (Dapkūnaitė), a play full of tension, subtle humor and philosophical abysses unfolds.
The production will be shown in the original language (English) with German surtitles.
