Three exceptional musicians, one vibrant hybrid sound: John Winston Berta (drums & lead vocals), Oliver Wissing (bass) and Lennart Smidt (Rhodes) mix jazz, soul, dub and funk to create a dense, grooving live experience. Improvisation meets fat beats and dazzling harmonies - organic, playful, danceable. The project follows on from John's celebrated ensemble Hagelslag, with whom he opened for Fanta 4 and Bosse, among others, and collaborated with Nils Wogram, Becca Stevens and Eva Klesse. As a solo artist, he has performed on stage with Jamie Cullum and Jacob Collier.
The three toured Germany with the Hamburg punk band Liedfett in 2018. Oliver Wissing was last heard on John's single "Shine", Lennart Smidt on the album "Right to Wonder" (2020).
