Blues - "Family Business

Richard Bargel, one of the longest active "bluesmen" in Germany, has been performing with his musical grandson and producer Fabio Nettekoven as "Family Business" for several years. Richard Bargel's most recent studio work was again awarded the German Record Critics' Prize.

Multi-instrumentalist Fabio N ettekoven has found access to the great old man's highly individual blues music like no other. Here, the godfather has chosen his successor, the grandson, who still has to bow to the rules of authority, but has long had his own ideas and visions of how he wants to shape his world.

The creative musical dialogues between Bargel and Nettekoven take place in this field of tension between the serenity and wisdom of an experienced veteran and the effervescent energy of a young man. They testify to a blind musical understanding that rarely exists among musicians.
