Influenced by the classic songwriting of John Martyn, Scott Walker and Serge Gainsbourg, London-born Jonathan Jeremiah's authentic, timeless sound blends gritty acoustic R&B with folk-tinged soul. Born in London to an Anglo-Indian father and Irish-Catholic mother, he began performing at the age of 14 after developing a deep, rich baritone voice.

In 2011, Jonathan released his debut album A Solitary Man, which achieved gold status in the Netherlands and reached number 3 in the charts when it was released. Two more albums followed: 2012's Gold Dust (recorded with the Metropole Orkest) and 2015's Oh Desire, both of which cemented his audience, particularly in mainland Europe, and earned him further accolades, not least a call from legendary James Bond composer John Barry offering to write with him. In 2018 Jonathan released his fourth studio album Good Day with the singles 'Mountain', 'Good Day' and 'Subway (It's Not Too Late For Us)'. His 5th album Horsepower For The Streets followed in 2022 with the tracks 'Restless Heart' and 'Youngblood', which have become live favorites.

Over the course of his career, Jonathan has released five high-quality albums and collaborated with renowned European and British orchestras, including the Metropole Orkest, with whom he recorded his album Gold Dust, the British Heritage Orchestra and the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, with whom he also toured the Netherlands in 2020.

This year Jonathan returns to the North Sea Jazz Festival with his first appearance in 2025 and promises a new album and more live dates to follow.
