On October 7, 2025, rising Ugandan superstar Joshua Baraka comes to Berlin for his very first European tour! In the intimate atmosphere of LARK, the audience can expect a rousing show that fuses African rhythms with modern R&B, Afrobeat and dancehall - a unique musical experience that brings Uganda's vibes directly to Germany.

From Kampala to Berlin: the musical journey of Joshua Baraka

Joshua Baraka discovered his passion for music at the age of just six - as a drummer in the church in his home district of Bwaise in Kampala. What began as an escape from the dangers of his surroundings turned into a breathtaking career: at 19, he released his debut EP Baby Steps, and shortly afterwards hits such as "Belinda" and "Nana" catapulted him to the top of the Ugandan charts.

Today, Baraka is one of East Africa's most exciting voices, collaborating with stars such as Joeboy, Simi and King Promise and impressing with a unique blend of contemporary sounds and traditional Ugandan influences. His latest EP Recess proves it: This is an artist who breaks boundaries - and can now be experienced live in Germany for the first time!
