Music video anthropology by "Melodies in My Head"

"Melodies in My Head" is the new group by Thomas Burkhalter (anthropologist, AV artist and founder of "Norient") and music producer Daniel Jakob "Dubokaj, Dejot". Their debut album "Joy Anger Doubt" takes us on a journey through pop worlds, experimental soundscapes and club tracks. The live show aims to tell the stories of our turbulent times in a different way. Perspectives collide: here the autoethnographic view and audio world of the two Swiss, there the world experiences of artists from Africa, Asia and the Middle East, whom Burkhalter has interviewed over the last twenty years. The quotes, texts, images and sounds bear witness to the feelings we experience today, here and there: Hope, joy, ecstasy, brokenness, depression, doubt, fear, trauma and anger. Visual anthropology, poetic essay, in an artistic format.
