Joy Guidry

Brooklyn-based bassoonist, performance artist and composer Joy Guidry 's fourth album is about to be released and she will be touring Europe for it.

Joy was born in Houston, Texas, into a creative family that has made her who she is today. Joy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Bassoon Performance from Peabody Conservatory and a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Mannes School of Music. She has presented her original works at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, The Kitchen, and Redcat, among others.

Her music moves between ambient, gospel and free jazz and radiates a spiritual grace.
