Joya Marleen's music always begins in her head - almost as a head movie. Her material are the observations on the edge of the field of vision, the whispered remarks and secret feelings that trigger entire auteur films in her. These soundtracks to her very personal head cinema have touched an entire country: At 20, she is one of Switzerland's most successful artists. Following the first place of her airplay hit "Nightmare", three Swiss Music Awards, her participation in the Swiss edition of "Sing meinen Song" and her two most recent EP releases, Joya continues to advance her view of the world: thought-provoking pop and modern folk underpin visually stunning lyrics that range from Swift to far beyond Del Rey. And also inspires beyond the borders of Switzerland.
