Jubiläumskonzert: 1 Jahr Schumann Haus Düsseldorf

A year ago, the Schumann House at Bilker Straße 15 opened its doors to visitors for the first time. It invites you to experience a new, modern music museum in the former home of the Schumann couple.

The contemporary exhibition was supported by the Förderverein Schumann-Haus Düsseldorf e.V. with civic donations. The Nordrhein-Westfalen-Stiftung Naturschutz, Heimat- und Kulturpflege (North Rhine-Westphalia Foundation for Nature Conservation, Local Heritage and Cultural Preservation) has sponsored the restoration of the house in line with its listed status, which was acquired with the support of the Förderverein Schumann-Haus Düsseldorf e.V. (Düsseldorf Schumann House Friends' Association).

Together with you, we would like to celebrate the first anniversary of the Schumann-Haus Düsseldorf e.V. with an anniversary concert and festive greetings from Miriam Koch, Councillor for Culture and Integration, and Herbert Hennig from the Förderverein Schumann-Haus Düsseldorf e.V..

Students of the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf will play compositions by Clara and Robert Schumann that were written in 1853, one year after the couple moved into Bilker Straße, moderated by Prof. Dr. Gundula Bobeth, Managing Director of the Institute of Musicology at the Robert Schumann Hochschule. The concert is a thank you from the Robert Schumann Hochschule to the Förderverein Schumann-Haus Düsseldorf e.V.
