Jugend musiziert 2025 - öffentliche Wertungen

In the organizer's words:

The regional competitions are over and more than 1000 young people are expected to take part in the state competition Jugend musiziert NRW, which will take place in Essen from March 21 to 25. The Folkwang University of the Arts, the Folkwang School of Music and the Essen Philharmonic Hall will provide rooms for the competition.

This year's categories are as follows:

• Solo evaluation: percussion, violin, viola, violoncello, pop singing and accordion
• Ensemble evaluation: piano chamber music, bağlama ensemble, harp and plucked string ensemble, early music and vocal ensemble
• Duet judging: Piano with wind instrument, vocal duo
• Jumu open

All evaluations are open to the public! We look forward to your visit.

Expert judges from the fields of universities, music schools, schools and radio/media will evaluate the individual performances and for some of them will award the coveted forwarding to the national competition, which will take place this year from June 5-11 in Wuppertal.

The state competition is made possible by the sponsoring North Rhine-Westphalian savings banks, the City of Cologne and the NRW Ministry of Culture and Science. The competition is organized by the Landesmusikrat NRW.
