Hurray, hurray! The KAUTZ album is finally here! And with it, the singer and songwriter Julia Kautz from Munich (born in Vienna) is also going on a big KAUTZ tour across Germany and Austria in January! She has written hits for Wincent Weiss, Vanessa Mai, Cassandra Steen, Max Mutzke and recently also for world star Bonnie Tyler. Julia Kautz from Munich is a platinum-selling, international number one songwriter: she even reached the top of the charts in Japan with a song for a Korean boy band! And now the singer/songwriter has released her own debut album KAUTZ. After the two successful EPs "Amnesia" and "Immer die Musik", the debut album contains everything that makes KAUTZ special: rock songs ("FOMO"), edgy pop songs ("Leben wie Las Vegas"), ironic tracks ("Hurra!") and thoughtful poetry ("Zeitfenster"). "I've been working on this album for so long and, as an indie artist, I've put my heart and soul into it. The fact that it's finally finished moves me to tears myself and I hope that people out there love it and all its facets as much as I do." The song "Besser Sad" with Fiona Erdmann (known from Germany's Next Topmodel and Dschungelcamp, now a successful influencer in Dubai) is the album's focus single and will also be released on 30 May: the track is an absolute summer song and a hymn to the true friendship of two women who empower each other and always pull each other up when they fall flat on their faces. "Although Fiona now lives in Dubai and I live in Munich, our close friendship has remained unshakeable. We've experienced so many highs and lows together. We were often sad - but together we were always better sad!"
Julia Kautz has already amassed around 8 million streams on Spotify alone (the KAUTZ album already has over 2 million streams) and over 150,000 followers on social media. And she's doing it the indie way - without a major label behind her. Her songs are on the radio (Bayern3, Antenne1, SWR3, NDR 2, SR1) and she has made numerous TV appearances (ZDF Fernsehgarten, BR Abendschau, Frühstücksfernsehen). Her songs have landed in all the major playlists of all providers!

As already mentioned at the beginning, she also causes quite a stir with the songs she provides for other artists: the song "Echo" by Thorsteinn Einarsson was among the top 5 most played Austrian songs on the radio in 2023. There was also success for the song "Situationship" by Jacob Elias: the track was number 1 in the Shazam charts in Austria for weeks, number 2 on iTunes and is on heavy rotation on Austrian radio. It was also nominated for "Ö3 Song of the Year" at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards! The song "Feuer über Wien" by Lucas Fendrich also stormed the Austrian charts (number 1 on iTunes) and radio stations. The song "ELLA" by Ella Stern made it to number 4 in the German viral charts on Spotify. An absolute highlight in 2024: "Fühlst du das auch" by Gregor Hägele was the official ARD trailer campaign song for the European Championships! A major article about the singer/songwriter was recently published in the culture section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung.

Before Julia Kautz concentrated fully on her career as an artist, she was chief reporter for Europe's biggest youth magazine BRAVO. She interviewed mega stars such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. During this time, she also hosted the daily online show "BRAVO WebTV". She also worked as a presenter for Telekom, among others. In 2011, she wrote the successful novel "Im Bus ganz hinten", the autobiography of rapper Fler, which even made it into the top ten of the Spiegel bestseller list.
