Julius Fischer & David Weber - Das Gestüt der Versöhnung

Julius Fischer and David Weber met on a fresh spring day in Leipzig in 2018. While Fischer "still remembers it well", Weber looks back and says it was "the best moment of my life". Six years later, the two are now on stage together for a musical duo evening at Neues Schauspiel Leipzig and ufa-Fabrik Berlin. The wonderful title of the event, "Das Gestüt der Versöhnung" (The Stud Farm of Reconciliation), has "really no connection at all to the content", Weber admits ruefully. "It's simply a very beautiful title," explains Fischer with tears in his eyes.

Julius Fischer is a musician, author and presenter, two-time German-language poetry slam champion, father, son and man. He plays guitar and piano and sings beautifully. "We are all lucky that this angel was cast out of heaven because he sometimes used cheeky words," says Weber, praising Fischer's vulgar side.

David Weber plays the piano and sings songs with humor and a good dose of absurdity. His pieces range from the very small (love) to the very big themes (household). His last program "Storno All Night Long" was attested great ingenuity, musical beauty and a touch of madness.

At Gestüt der Versöhnung, the two will sing their most beautiful songs.
