Uferlos Festival Freising presents: "young & loud"
"Music by young people for young people." This is the motto of the "jung & laut" music festival.
On Saturday, July 19, 2025, the second edition of the festival will take place as an open-air event on the "ASAM öffne dich" open-air stage in the ASAM outdoor courtyard. Parallel to the Freising Old Town Festival, you can listen to music from young artists and bands from 5 pm to midnight. The bands are among the hottest insider tips currently to be found in the young music scene from Munich to Freising. This evening invites you to discover and simply listen to really good music handmade by young people.
With the second edition of "jung & laut", the long-standing concept of youth culture behind the ASAM building on the renovated open-air stage appears in a new light and with a new organizational structure as an event organized by the Freising Office for Public Safety and Order in cooperation with "Uferlos Kultur und Veranstaltungs gemeinnützige GmbH", the city's youth welfare department and the Freising Cultural Office.
"jung & laut" is a LEADER project in the Free State of Bavaria funded as part of the GAP Strategic Plan Germany 2023 - 2027.
The following young bands and artists will be performing:

Raketenumschau (approx. 22:00)
Raketenumschau are four Munich natives who have been playing indie rock together for over 5 years. The band has been one of the most sought-after insider tips in the Munich indie scene for several years. The Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote about the band: "The Hamburg school around Blumfeld and Co would have found another master in Raketenumschau." In September, after more than 100 concerts, the debut album "Ist es Euphorie?" was released, with which the band went on tour throughout Germany.

15 Steps Closer (approx. 21:00)
15 Steps Closer is an alternative rock band from Freising. Despite macho riffs and fast drum beats, the 2 front men do not shy away from the occasional comedy interlude. With catchy melodies and a stunning live energy, 15 Steps Closer conquer the stage. The band has released 6 songs over the last 2 years.

Back to Business (approx. 20:00)
Back to Business is a band from Freising that plays a mixture of indie and alternative rock with punk and grunge influences. However, they give their music their very own touch, a clearly recognizable signature: Sometimes very restrained and reduced, the next moment wild, fast and loud. The lyrics oscillate between personal and universal feelings and the abysses of society and within oneself. The first single from Back to Business, "Timmy", was released in March.

Clemens Ripp (approx. 19:00)
Clemens Ripp is a musician and songwriter from Freising. With his beginnings as a street musician and as a member of various local bands, he developed his own style with influences from the folk, indie and alternative scene. He captivates listeners with his powerful songwriting, but never conforms to the mainstream.

Marlene Nadina (approx. 18:00)
With her lyrics, her singing and her music on piano and guitar, Munich singer-songwriter Marlene Nadina manages to sound lyrical but never artificial. Having only released her debut album "Bitter" in April this year, the 21-year-old cultural studies student performs together with musician and music producer Quirin Felix Ebnet. The reduced setup with Rhodes, guitar and vocals reflects the raw emotions of the songs: somewhere between indie pop and German songwriting.

Catcall (approx. 17:00)
Catcall is a rock band from Pfaffenhofen. Formed after years of friendship between the guitarist, drummer and bassist following a fateful meeting with the singer, the four musicians have been bringing their songs, inspired by the big rock stars of the last 30 years such as Nirvana or the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to the stage with unique live energy for just over a year.
