The Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft once again invites you to a special evening at the Münchner Kammerspiele. Three finalists for the literature prize will present their works, provide insights into their creative process and talk about their inspirations. Actors from the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble will read selected passages and combine readings with staged performances.

The Kulturkreis awards the Literature Prize of the German Economy to outstanding contemporary literary voices. Twelve authors are on the longlist, three of whom will read on stage in the final round.

Previous winners such as Thomas Bernhard (1967), Michael Krüger (1978) and Friederike Mayröcker (1989) and, most recently, Dana Vowinckel (2024), Lukas Rietzschel (2023) and Lena Gorelik (2022) are names that have become an integral part of German-language literature.

The prize is endowed with 20,000 euros and sets an example for the relevance of young contemporary literature.
