Many children have a favorite color. Juni loves all colors and uses her crayons to draw colorful fantasy worlds, which are often the starting point for games with her best friends Janni, Febu and August. Today, Juni has called the others to her grandpa's garage, the little group's favorite meeting place, before the sun rises. Because there is no better playground for them than a room full of old boxes and found objects. But June is nowhere to be found. Instead, there are packed boxes in front of the locked garage. What could have happened? Are strangers trying to steal all the treasures that Juni's grandfather keeps in the garage? Or will the entire garage be taken away from the children in the end? Although they have never been out so early - or is it so late? - Janni, Febu and August immediately realize that it's up to them to protect this important place from their childhood and find out what happened to Juni.

In Hagen, there are often only a few free offers in public spaces that are aimed directly at children. That's why children conquer their own places where they can discover the world through play. But the interests of adults are constantly challenging these spaces. The new LUTZ production for people aged 5 and over, which the ensemble developed together in the rehearsal process and with the support of the sponsor classes, is a plea to give imagination and play more space. A fictitious garage in Wehringhausen forms the setting. In an almost criminalistic plot, the protagonists emancipate themselves from the supposed powerlessness of children and take measures to protect their playground.

With a great deal of ingenuity, everyday objects that can be found in every garage are turned into fantastic worlds in which the three friends have to overcome unexpected adventures in order to finally uncover June's secret. When the garage is rescued, the stage is also opened up to all the children in the audience, who are invited to redesign the empty space with their colors. An exciting journey into reality and fantasy for the whole family.
