Since the events on Isla Nublar, dinosaurs have shared the world with humans. Five years later, however, the planet's ecology has changed dramatically and the dinosaurs are forced to retreat to isolated equatorial environments. An intrepid team of experts embarks on a top-secret mission to a remote island. The aim is to extract genetic material from the largest colossi on land, at sea and in the air for a ground-breaking cure. But the operation overlaps with the fate of a family whose boat has been capsized by attacking aquatic dinosaurs. Together they become stranded on a forbidden island that once housed a secret Jurassic Park research facility, and with it the most dangerous of the dangerous dinosaurs.
